Our Specializations

Energy efficiency is a means of using less energy to provide the same (or greater) level of energy services. Achieving greater efficiency requires us to modernize infrastructure, technologies, and behaviors. Making these changes necessitates the spending of time, or money, or both. Importantly, however, these costs are not simply expenditures but investments that yield returns in the form of energy savings and often reduce resource consumption in other ways. Energy, infrastructure and related operations costs are among the largest line items in a operation’s budget.

Bio-fuels are renewable energy sources derived from recently living organisms such as plants and include ethanol, bio-diesel, methanol. Fossil fuels are derived from long dead organisms and are finite - oil, coal. Bio-fuels can be produced locally. Bio-fuels extend existing fuel supplies. Bio-fuels reduce tailpipe emissions and do not negatively affect surface or ground water.

It is estimated by the World Bank that water and wastewater infrastructure investment will reach $700B. Many issues are combining to drive these investments including:
  • demand increasing 40% by 2025
  • decaying infrastructure - $540B in US alone
  • drought conditions
  • government regulations
  • water purity needs
  • budget constraints
  • among others
